Finding Unclaimed Money

You can find your unclaimed cash by visiting a site set up by your state’s Department of Revenue. For instance, if you live in Washington State you would visit, http://ucp.dor.wa.gov/; Texas’ is http://www.window.state.tx.us/up/.

To find your state’s unclaimed property site:

Go to Google and search “unclaimed property (insert state here)” and you should be able to find the right site. Look for sites with a .org, .us or .gov suffix.

Note: NEVER PAY to get your unclaimed property! There are scams out there that try to get you to pay for it. Don’t do it!
